Both lids are matt and seal the jar airtight. The stainless steel lid is particularly suitable for fermenting and transporting liquids, the tinplate lid is particularly suitable for airtight storage of food in the refrigerator (e.g. dips) and for supplies.
First, place the plate on the jar and then screw it on with the screw ring. Make sure that the edge of your favorite jar is dry and clean before closing it. This way, your lids will stay beautiful and like new for a long time.
The two-part lid is made of tinplate and is not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher. Due to long contact with water, rust is a natural process that you can easily counteract by washing it by hand.
