This flavored oil brings a festive spiciness and depth to any dish. The cold-pressed olive oil is refined with chili peppers, garlic, lemon zest, rosemary and warm spices such as cinnamon and star anise. This creates rich flavors that go perfectly with winter dishes and add a special touch to any holiday meal. The healthy ingredients of olive oil, combined with the pleasant spiciness of chili and the spicy taste of rosemary, make this oil a high-quality gift for anyone who likes to be creative in the kitchen.

Ingredients:

  • 1 liter of high-quality cold-pressed olive oil
  • 4-6 dried chili peppers
  • 4 garlic cloves, peeled and lightly crushed

  • 2 star anise
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns

Directions:

  1. Prepare ingredients :
    • Peel the lemon peel in thin strips
    • Peel the garlic cloves and press them lightly to release their aroma
    • If you like it hotter: Break the dried chili peppers into pieces
  2. Flavoring oil :
    • Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the chili peppers, garlic cloves, lemon peel, rosemary sprigs, cinnamon stick, star anise and peppercorns to the oil
    • Let everything simmer for about 15 minutes on low heat. Make sure the garlic does not burn to avoid a bitter flavor
  3. Filling :
    • Allow the oil to cool and strain it through a fine sieve to remove the solids
    • Optionally, you can add decorative elements such as a dried chili pepper, a piece of cinnamon stick or a sprig of rosemary to the bottles to visually enhance the oil
