Advent Calendar Mason Jar
Only 14 days until we can open the first door and the Christmas countdown begins! This year we have another creative idea for an Advent calendar with jars - this time with our Mini Jars, hanging, in a gold-green look. Last year we made a DIY Advent calendar in a jar - we kept a bit of the clean, black-and-white style. Get inspired and have fun copying it!
Advent Calendar Mini Jar Glasses
Use Mini Jar glasses as an Advent calendar - not just for Christmas
Filling the Advent calendar - simply wrap the sweet surprise in golden tissue paper

Now it's time to fill the Advent calendar - small sweets such as chocolate balls or nougat pieces fit perfectly in the jar. Of course, the sweet surprise shouldn't be too big - they are mini jars after all :) The 8 x 5 cm jars can also be used to store Christmas messages or personal notes. Wrap the surprise in pretty tissue paper - we chose paper from Paper Poetry (you can find it at idee Creativmarkt). The pretty golden dots are perfect for our Advent calendar with jars . Now wrap a thin thread around the neck of the jar and tie a double knot. We used the pretty thread from Garn und mehr in gold-beige. Feel free to cut off pieces of different lengths - a bit of movement and mini jars hanging at different heights look very pretty.
Hanging Advent Calendar with Glasses
Fasten the glasses with small clips
You can find the white grid from the hardware store in the garden department for less than 10 euros - flowers usually climb up here. In our case, they are gifts :) We now use the small clips (idea creativmarkt) to attach our mini jars . We recommend working from top to bottom and hanging the jars one after the other. The grid can also be used wonderfully after Christmas as a decorative object for postcards, memories or as a mood board at home.
Now it's time to decorate - you can add small details to the Advent calendar as you please, such as fir branches, eucalyptus or matching postcards. Our LED fairy lights provide a bit of glitter and light - they can not only be placed nicely around glass, but also look beautiful around the lattice or fir branches thanks to the flexible wire.
Ho, ho, ho .. DIY Advent calendar in all its glory
Beautify with small decorative details - fir branches, beautiful postcards and LED fairy lights
The Mini Jar with 8 x 5 cm is also great for small gifts
And now it's your turn! If you fancy a smaller version of an Advent calendar, take a look at the magazine archive for ideas from previous years.
Once the Christmas season is over, the Advent calendar goes away too - but the great thing about our DIY Advent calendar is that you can simply use the jars again next year or you can use the mini jars, for example, for small gifts for friends, for office utensils or as a spice jar.
