Fermenting gherkins in a jar

Fermenting gherkins in a jar was something we used to do with our grandma's snacks. Today, we're mostly used to buying ready-made gherkins in the supermarket. There's nothing wrong with that, but they often contain huge amounts of sugar or bad preservatives. If you pickle your vegetables and gherkins yourself in your LIEBLINGSGLAS , you can decide for yourself which ingredients you use. Another advantage - you can cut the gherkins into exactly the shape you want. Thin or thick slices, strips or just halves? It's all up to you and what's more, it looks beautiful as a gift in the Ball Mason Jar | Sharing Elite | 475 ml .

This means that your pickled vegetables cannot come into contact with air and start to mold.

The fermentation weights are available for your WIDE or REGULAR Ball Mason jar . Our fermentation starter sets are particularly good for getting started. In them you will find the weights, fermentation attachments, tampers and even jars with which you can start straight away.
