Breakfast in a Jar: 7 Simple Ideas

True to our motto: Start the new year healthy - natural inspiration for delicious breakfast ideas is a must. So that you don't have the same thing every day, we have seven simple breakfast ideas in a jar for you! For more variety and a healthy start to the day.

Morning Power

The body works at full speed at night! This makes it all the more important that it is properly supplied with energy in the morning , especially in the form of carbohydrates. But healthy fats and proteins are also important for a fit start to the day.

Porridge, overnight oats or Bircher muesli

What is the difference? After all, it is all oat flakes. Bircher muesli goes back to the doctor Maximilian Oskar Bircher-Benner , who developed the healthy breakfast. Oat flakes are soaked in milk (overnight) and supplemented with fresh ingredients and nuts. " Overnight " is exactly the same. Oats " just with a slightly trendier name. ;) In contrast, the oat flakes in porridge, oatmeal or simply oatmeal are boiled with a little milk.

Local Superfoods - Alternatives to Chia & Co.

There are no limits to your creativity when topping oatmeal or muesli. We think the more the better. Instead of trendy superfoods, which often have to travel long distances , there are also completely regional alternatives from Germany or Europe:

  • instead of chia seeds: flax seeds
  • instead of acai berries: blueberries
  • instead of avocados: walnuts
  • instead of goji berries: black currants
  • seasonal fruit

Not only healthy, but also a great decoration on your breakfast.

We prefer to use our grater for freshly grated apples. You can screw it directly onto the glass and grate the apple directly over your Bircher muesli or keep it fresh using the airtight lid. Practical and beautiful at the same time.

Recipe: Bircher Muesli

What you need: (1 x glass 500 ml)
