After we received so many questions about apple cider vinegar in response to our story last week, we would like to explain to you here with helpful tips and a few steps how you can make your own vinegar super easily in your FAVORITE JAR . Let's start in the Ball Mason Jar | Wide | 1.9 liters , because our largest mason jar is best suited for this! With just a few ingredients, you can easily make your own apple cider vinegar in your favorite jar. You can also make your vinegar in your FAVORITE JAR from apple or pear scraps. To do this, simply save the peel and core, which is the perfect zero-waste method to avoid having to throw away the fruit scraps. You can also collect the scraps in the Ball Mason Jar | Wide | 1.9 liters in the refrigerator for a few days and then use them to make vinegar. If you prefer to use fallen fruit, make sure you cut away any rotten or bad parts. This can cause mold to form in your vinegar in your FAVORITE JAR , and of course we don't want that.

What you need: And here's how it works:

1. Fill the apple pieces into the sterilized FAVORITE GLASS and cover with plenty of tap water.

2. Cover the glass opening with the cheesecloth or fabric and close it with the screw ring. The cloth prevents fruit flies or dust from getting into your vinegar. But it has enough oxygen to mature.

3. Leave the vinegar to stand for 24 hours and avoid direct sunlight. Stir the vinegar with a wooden spoon. Repeat the process daily for 1 week. A white foam may form on the surface, which is completely normal and not mold.

4. After 1 week, strain the apples through a fine sieve. Collect the vinegar and pour it into a clean Ball Mason jar | Wide | 1.9 liters .

5. You can now compost the apples or put them in the organic waste.

6. Cover the glass opening again with the cheesecloth and close it with the screw ring. The vinegar will now smell a little like vinegar. Now let it mature for another 6-7 weeks without stirring. It is best to do this in a cooler, dark place.

Your finished apple cider vinegar in your FAVORITE JAR will keep for several months in sterile jars.
